Thank you for helping Mutulu Village

Following a life-changing holiday to Kenya in 2010 I realised just how lucky I am.  Lucky in being born in the right part of the world!  Lucky to have been able to have many opportunities in life!

I have never seen poverty before on this scale.

I am sure it is not the worse place in the world but having witnessed this first hand, I cannot sit back and do nothing.  I have returned from my holiday.  However,  I cannot forget the people that still have to live with their poverty and all because they were born in an area of the world that does not as of yet provide the opportunities that you and I have been lucky enough to have enjoyed.

I know there are people in the UK that live in what we consider "poverty" but in the UK we give people benefits and some assistance and we have a wealth of opportunities for people to help themselves, Mulutu Village has no help!  Some of these people have no clothes! no shoes - imagine it! and worse - no food and water!

We met a man named Lucky who had a very very tough child hood.  He was one of the children who walked without shoes for 10-12km to get to school, he lived with this poverty!  He was inspired by a school colleague of his who had also come from this background and who had managed to work his way out of this situation and do well for himself, setting up his own business.  Lucky followed him and worked very hard, he now works for his mentor and earns what is considered a good salary, however this comes at a price, he only see's his wife and 2 childen once maybe twice a month as he has had to move away to get this well paid job, Lucky has to travel very far to return home.  Lucky is desperate to help the people in his village who have not had the same opportunity, but how?  He does not earn enough money to support everyone.

We gave Lucky some clothing and what we had been able to bring over from the UK, ie some colouring books, small toys etc, to take back to his village when he was next able to return.  But we also want to help.

We want to promoted Mutulu Village, we want to see what we can do to inspire other young people, so that they in turn can bring their skills and knowledge back to the area and help others, only this way can things improve and continue to improve going forward.  It is not just about giving, it is about a whole education process and about helping others to help themselves.

This website is just the beginning, just the start to promoting a single village in a beautiful but poor area of the world, we know there are many other places that need help, but we have to start somewhere and for us the connection we have made is our start.

Please help us to help Mutulu Village, the people and the children.

Please support us - email us on (email coming soon) xxxxx@mutuluvillage.com and we will send you information on how you can assist us.
